JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Kitchen Manager, you will lead the daily operations in the production kitchen and work closely with the correctional officer who has formal personnel responsibility. You will be responsible for planning, menu, quality assurance, invoice management, and purchasing within the given budget. Furthermore, you will be responsible for self-control and food hygiene according to applicable laws and routines. In addition to the administrative parts of the position, you are also expected to contribute to the daily work alongside other chefs. You will also support the self-management present at the prison in certain matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and self-aware. You remain calm and controlled in stressful situations and are self-driven in taking responsibility for your tasks and structuring your work. You collaborate well with others and can also lead and motivate others to effectively achieve common goals. Since you are responsible for self-control and food hygiene, you are meticulous and place great importance on meeting high-quality standards.

You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others. We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed restaurant or large-scale catering education at the high school level or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by Kriminalvården
• Experience working in large kitchens
• Experience handling invoices, orders/purchases
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and self-control
• Good knowledge of special diets and allergies
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
• Good computer skills

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working as a kitchen manager
• Other education deemed relevant by Kriminalvården
